Tour Information

Hive + Honey is a fully immersive, 2 - 2.5 hour experience hosted at Funny Farm Apiaries. Gear up in bee suits and enter the world of bees guided by our knowledgeable beekeepers. Pictures will be taken of your experience and uploaded to a private Google album which will be shared with you. Enjoy honey sampling afterward in a peaceful farmstead setting. The Hive & Honey Tour is $45/pp.

We will Provide:

• Bee Suits & Gloves (Bee Jackets & gloves are NOT sting proof).

• Honey tasting, cheese, crackers & bottled water (this is provided at the end for all that pay for the tour).

Please wear or bring:

• Closed-toe shoes

• Long Pants preferably not black

• Socks above the ankle

• Please avoid wearing perfume or cologne

• Long hair is best pulled back to ensure good visibility in your bee veil

Important

• Please be respectful of everyone’s time and arrive 10 minutes early.

• If you are late, we reserve the right to cancel or consider you a no show.

• You must be able to walk on uneven ground to our bee hives. All activities are located outdoors on our farm.

• This is a weather dependent activity, meaning the event will not be held in inclement weather, high winds, or threat of rain. Bees are sensitive to weather conditions to ensure everyone has a pleasant time we don’t risk the bee’s safety or the safety or our guests.

• If you are allergic to bee stings or have severe allergies to pollen, we caution you from taking this tour.

• Please be respectful of our farm and everything on it. For our tour, please respect our farm and everyone on it (animals & humans). Do not wander around our farm without a guide and stay with your group. No screaming/yelling, especially around the bees.

• No swatting at the bees. Our bees just want to do their thing and not bother anyone. We have the right to cancel the activity if someone does not follow the rules and your money will not be refunded.

All participants must sign a Waiver and Release of Liability form before going on the tour.

For cancellations: A great deal of planning goes into every tour to make it a great experience. If you need to cancel, a 72-hour advance notice is required to receive a refund. If you do not show or cancellation is not done prior to 72 hours, there will be no refund or date rescheduled. If Funny Farm Apiaries is forced to cancel your tour due to reasons outside of our control, we will reschedule the date of your tour or refund your money.
